COLOR CONNECTION

Turning a supply-chain freeze into momentum

When most brands were forced into discounting old inventory and retreating from decisive product moves, this moment became a turning point for THE KIT - not a setback.

Global production stalled. Traditions of seasonal tailoring felt disconnected from what people really needed. Instead of defaulting to discounting or rehashing past designs, we pivoted - quickly and intentionally - toward something that met the moment head-on: joyous, real-life loungewear.

The Summer 2020 collection doubled annual revenue and triggered a new run-rate, setting the foundation for sustained ~60% YoY growth.

REFLECTION

The lesson wasn’t just speed, it was restraint

Summer 2020 taught us something that has since become a core operational principle:

Constraints clarify. Crisis accelerates alignment.

The creative challenge wasn’t to do more - it was to do less, better, connected. Designing fewer ideas that could do more became a guiding principle for the brand’s next phase of growth.
